Rare, second edition handbook, hardcover , in very good condition. The handbook provides interesting details about Uganda in 1920 and gives an overview of the geography, zoology, land and agriculture, mining, trade, tax, legal, etc. Illustrated throughout with photographs and includes a foldout colour map at the back of the Uganda Protectorate. Externally, the publisher's original black cloth covered hard boards, gilt lettering and decoration to the upper board. The spine is faded but the title and author stamped are visible but gilt lettering has faded. Internally, minor foxing throughout, but pages are generally clean and bright. On the inside of the back cover there is a note stating that the solution used in binding this book has been specially prepared in order to render the work impervious to the ravages of insects. Pages are clean and bright. Photos provided reflect the condition in addition to the above description. Overall condition is very good
