Facsimile reprint, hardcover with dust jacket, in fine condition. Reprint of the incredibly rare 1902 edition with additional material. This is an important book (both 1902 original and 1978 reprint) as it traces the history of the Griqua Nation from their origins around Douglas in the Northern Cape, via Philippolis in the Southern Free State, to their forced move and subsequent settlement in Kokstad and Matatiele, in East Griqualand. Externally, original cream dustjacket in a removable protective sleeve, covering original dark green hardboard covers with gilt titling to the spine. Internally, the pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Photos provided reflect the condition in addition to the above description. Overall condition is fine
