Field Marshal Jan Christian Smuts was a military leader and South African statesman and served as Prime Minister of the Union of South Africa. Externally, boards are covered in the publisher's original black cloth with faint gilt titling to the spine. There is some minor wear to the extremities, with some bumping and fraying to the spine ends. Internally, the book has some foxing to front end covers, pages have some light tanning but printing is clear. Photos provided reflect the condition in addition to the above description.
